Buses are vehicles designed for passenger transport. Their function is to move people in the most comfortable and secure way possible. This is why we use exclusively buses.
Everything in these large vehicles is designed for passenger comfort. They are always equipped with pneumatic suspensions, three braking systems (pneumatic, hydraulic, and electric), are soundproofed, climate-controlled, and have safety windows. They also feature extremely rigid steel structures.
Unlike other motorhomes, buses are not constrained by a specific weight limit. In fact, they are generally much heavier. For example, a small bus (7.5 meters long) has an operating weight of approximately 7,000 kg with a maximum permissible weight (MPW) of 12,000 kg, which means we could load it with an additional 5,000 kg and it would still be completely legal to drive. This allows for greater flexibility in load and internal modifications. We remove all seats except for six plus the driver, and the customer is free to design the interior as they wish, as long as it complies with homologation regulations.
We remove all seats leaving 6 units plus the driver, which is the maximum number allowed by the homologation. From there, the customer is free to design the interior as they see fit. It is important to note that the 6 seats must be positioned just behind the driver, and backward-facing seats are not permitted. There are no restrictions on the layout, and we can make a roof rack that covers the entire roof.
Bus dimensions vary in height and length, but the width is always the same: 2.5 meters. Length determines the number of seats, with 7.5 meters accommodating 28 passengers and up to 65 seats for buses 13.5 meters long. Regarding height, what varies are the cargo compartments. A bus without a cargo compartment would be an urban bus, while some buses have heights up to 3.9 meters with cargo compartments of 1.4 meters in height.
Buses are designed to transport passengers in the most comfortable and safe manner possible. We use exclusively buses due to their superior characteristics: pneumatic suspensions, three braking systems (pneumatic, hydraulic, and electric), soundproofing, climate control, and safety windows. Additionally, their steel structures are extremely rigid.
We can customize any type of bus, and the systems can be installed according to the owner's preferences. Our basic configuration includes the following accessories:
The camperization process will take 16 weeks from the moment the vehicle arrives at our facilities. Obviously, if there are delays in the delivery of necessary accessories for the camperization, the delivery date will be affected. Ideally, the project should start once all accessories have been received, but we all know what it's like with urgency and the famous "just start now so we finish sooner."
We live in a country where summer months can reach very high temperatures. It is crucial to ensure the comfort of people living in the bus during these extreme conditions. At Tarifa Bus, we have designed a system of treatments and measures to ensure enviable comfort.
- The entire roof of the bus is covered with solar panels.
This serves two essential functions: providing the bus with an electrical power supply capable of running a powerful cooling system and protecting the bus roof from direct sunlight, creating a double roof with sufficient separation between them to prevent overheating of the physical roof of the bus.
- Equip the bus with awnings on both sides and along its entire length. These awnings will be deployed to prevent direct sun rays. (In areas with extreme wind, we recommend replacing the awning canvases with military camouflage fabrics, which are very effective in mitigating direct sunlight and resistant to extreme winds.
- Protect all windows with Solarcheck thermal film.
With all these measures, we can guarantee an interior temperature of 22 degrees even at the worst times of the day. This means absolute comfort in the most adverse situations. It is essential to rely on the electrical power provided by the six 600W panels. Their performance will be optimal when it is needed the most.
Cold in a vehicle can be unbearable, especially if you are caught in a winter storm. At Tarifa Bus, we have the necessary measures to withstand the harshest winter conditions. It is well known that low temperatures can kill all batteries or drastically reduce their power. For this reason, we combat the cold with fuels that we can easily store. In our case, we provide a substantial supply of diesel (up to 200 liters is the capacity of our fuel tank) and propane cylinders (propane is preferred as it does not freeze like butane). Our heaters are highly efficient and perfectly capable of maintaining a comfortable temperature of 20-22 degrees.
In addition to these two types of fuel, Tarifa Bus offers custom-made stoves to enjoy a real, controlled, and safe wood fire. There is nothing more authentic than lighting a wood fire during a winter storm.
Light
The brightness offered by a bus is unparalleled. Nothing compares to being able to see everything around you clearly, whether it's the busiest city in the world or a deserted beach or landscape.
Beds
Having the same bed as at home. At Tarifa Bus, we don't include the mattress in the basic configuration because we believe it’s too personal. It’s essential to sleep on a mattress that suits your needs, and only the person sleeping on it knows what works best. Therefore, we recommend using the same mattress you normally use.
Kitchen
Being able to enjoy the same meals you cook at home is crucial for feeling at home. That's why our kitchens, along with all appliances, can be exactly like those in your house. We can configure the kitchen cabinets and drawers to match those in your regular home.
Space to Move Around
Our buses are designed so you don’t have to juggle converting tables into beds and cabinets into bathrooms. It’s imperative to inhabit the interior comfortably with all occupants sleeping in their respective beds. We can cook without disturbing anyone resting or working at the table. This translates into enviable interior comfort. Only those who have had to coexist in a fully equipped motorhome will know what we're talking about.
Bathroom
The bathroom needs to be private, spacious, and comfortable. That's why at Tarifa Bus, we offer a bathroom with finishes worthy of a luxury home. You can choose teak floors, tiled walls, or mosaic throughout the bathroom. The fixtures will be the same as those found in a hotel, and with a 500-liter water tank, you'll be able to enjoy a proper shower.
Storage
We make use of every nook to have cabinets where you can hang a dress, store shoes, and keep all your essential clothing. Additionally, you have 2 large storage compartments where you can store everything needed for your favorite sports or hobbies. Optionally, you can install a tow bar that allows you to tow up to 750 kg. There’s also a roof rack measuring 2.4 meters x 1.4 meters where you can place excess luggage. The dimensions of the roof rack can be customized according to the client’s needs; if you have closed storage boxes, we can make them to fit with secure locks to prevent theft.
